AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED FORTY TWO THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED
SEVEN DOLL AND SIXTY CENTS ($142,107.60) FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY SPECIAL
DISTRIBUTION FUND OF THE CITY OF RICFrvUND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSE OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY SPECIAL DISTRIBUTION FUND
OF SAID CITY FOR THE BALANCE OF THE CALENDAR YEAR 1978 BUDGETING THE SAME, LIMITING
THE USE THEREOF AND FIXING THE TIME WHEN SAME SHALL, TAKE EFFECT.
SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that hereby and there is hereby appropriated the sun of $142,107.60 to the Motor
Vehicle Highway Special Distribution Fund of said City, and that the same shall
be set apart and budgeted for the various items and expenditures as follows:

SECTION 2. That all said expenditures as provided for in Section 1, shall be made
and performed upon passage of this ordinance and December 31, 1978, inclusive.
SECTION 3. That said monies as appropriated and budgeted are restricted solely
to and for the use of construction, reconstruction and maintenance of the streets
and alleys of the City of Richmond, Indiana, pursuant to Chapter 278 Acts of 1959
and House Bill 1450 Public Law 1S1 Acts of 1978 passed by the General Assembly of
the State of Indiana.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council, the signature of the President affixed and the
approval of the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana.

COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF RICHMOND, INI)IANA
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the
Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City June 19, 1978 ,
at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
Councilman Austerman presided with the following members present:

The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the
Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of June 7, 1978 and June 14, 1978
Said notices stated that a public hearing would be held on the 19th day of
June, 1978 , by the Common Council to consider additional appropria-
tions as provided for in Ordinance No. 40-1978 , within the City of
Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined
and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Mills moved the
proof of publication and posting of notices be received and ordered filed,
seconded by Councilman Paust, and on voice vote the motion was
carried.

Councilman Mills moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 40-1978, seconded by
Councilman Paust and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Councilman Mills moved to suspend the rules and read Ordinance No. 40-1978
on third and final reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Paust and
on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

The additional appropriations as finally made will be referred to the State
Board of Tax Commissioners, which Board, upon receipt, will 'hold a further
hearing within fifteen days at the County Auditor's Office of said County,
or at such other place as may be designated. At such hearing taxpayers
objecting to any of such additional appropriations may be, heard. Interested
taxpayers may inquire of the County Auditor when and where such hearing
will be held.
