HomeMy Public PortalAbout2006_04_25_r073 The Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED April 25. 2006 RESOLUTION NO. 2006-73 ADOPTED April 25. 2006 A RESOLUTION: ESTABLISHING A REVENUE STABILIZATION RESERVE WHEREAS, real estate values and other revenues that help support the Town are uncertain in the future; and WHEREAS, it is in the Town's best interest and is good fiscal management to set aside funds above the Town's General Fund undesignated fund balance for uncertain economic times; and WHEREAS, the Town Manager recommends that Council set aside $700,000 from available carryover funds. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: The Council directs the Town Manager to establish a revenue stabilization reserve in the amount of $700,000 as a separate and distinct part of the General Fund balance.
