A RESOLUTION: ESTABLISHING AN AD HOC SE/SW TRAIL COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, during it's February 2, 2006 meeting, the Planning Commission
recommended to Town Council the establishment of a citizen committee to address the lack of
trails in the southeast and southwest quadrants of Town; and
WHEREAS, on February 14,2006 the Leesburg Town Council voted to support the
establishment of a ad hoc committee representative of residents of the southeast and southwest
quadrants of Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, an advertisement was placed in the Leesburg Today to solicit volunteers for
this committee; and
WHEREAS, eight citizens have expressed interest in serving on this committee; and
WHEREAS, Councilmembers have also brought forward names for inclusion in this
committee.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The Ad Hoc SE/SW Trail Committee is hereby established to address the
trails access in the southeast and southwest quadrants of the Town and report back to the Town
Council on their findings and recommendations.

SECTION II. The membership ofthis committee shall be composed of the following
residents of the Town:
