A RESOLUTION: APPROVING THE SYCOLIN ROAD WIDENING PHASE II
TOWNNDOT ADMINISTRTIVE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING
THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Town Council approved Resolution No. 2005-104 that authorized a request
for matching funds from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) from the Revenue
Sharing Program; and
WHEREAS, the Town requested the maximum amount of matching funds at $1 million;
and
WHEREAS, VDOT approved funding in the amount of $744,920; and
WHEREAS, the Town's matching funding is $568,000 from a developer contribution for
American Services Excellence at the Airport Commerce Park; and
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors appropriated additional funds in
the amount of $432,000 from the Loudoun County Gasoline Tax at its June 7, 2005 meeting; and
WHEREAS, there is a $255,080 shortfall in funding between the requested funding from
VDOT and the actual funding approved by VDOT; and
WHEREAS, the Town requested an additional $255,080 from the Loudoun County
Gasoline Tax; and
WHEREAS, this additional funding was not approved by the Loudoun County Board of
Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the additional funding would be available from future allocations of Gasoline
Tax funding for the Sycolin Road Widening Project; and

THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the additional fimding will be available when needed for the Phase II project
when bids are received.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute the attached TownNDOT Administrative Agreement for
the Sycolin Road Widening Phase II Project, Revenue Sharing Program fimding.
