A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING A TIME EXTENSION FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE
GA TEHOUSE TRAILER ON BATTLEFIELD P ARKW A Y IN EDWARDS
LANDING AND REQUIRING A REMOVAL AND RESTORATION BOND
IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000
WHEREAS, the Gatehouse Trailer, which houses the equipment which provided high speed
internet access and cable TV service to residents of Edwards Landing, is in the way of completing all the
public improvements along Battlefield Parkway Phase II; and
WHEREAS, the Edwards Landing HOA and Lennar have agreed to move the Gatehouse
equipment from the trailer to a temporary location in the Edwards Landing Pool House; and
WHEREAS, Lennar has a deadline of May 19,2006 to complete all the improvements in
Battlefield Parkway Phase II; and
WHEREAS, Edwards Landing HOA and Lennar have requested more time to relocate the
Gatehouse Equipment to the pool house, remove the trailer, and restore the trailer area; and
WHEREAS, a separate trailer removal and site restoration cash bond in the amount of$25,000
will be provided by Lennar as part of a temporary trailer permit for the Gatehouse Trailer; and
WHEREAS, the Edwards Landing HOA has requested the Town grant Lennar time to July 10,
2006 and accept a $25,000 trailer removal and restoration bond; and
WHEREAS, if the trailer is removed prior to the relocation of the Gatehouse equipment, the
Edwards Landing internet and cable TV will be out of service.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Town is authorized to require a $25,000 cash performance bond to guarantee
the removal of the Gatehouse Trailer, and restoration of the trailer site as part of a temporary trailer
permit to allow the Gatehouse Trailer to remain until Lennar relocates the Gatehouse equipment, and
restores the site.

SECTION II. All work shall be completed by July 10,2006. If the deadline is not met, Lennar
shall forfeit the bond and the Town shall proceed to use the $25,000 cash bond to remove the trailer, and
restore the trailer site.
