A RESOLUTION: AWARDING THE IDA LEE TRAIL PHASE II CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Ida Lee Trail Phase II is a funded Capital Project; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for bids for the construction of the Ida Lee
Trail Phase II Project, the Town received bids on May 4, 2006, from the following firms:
. W.G. Harrison, Inc.
$236,019.40
. Finley Asphalt Sealing
$266,463.00
. LEO Construction Company
$282,508.00
. Tessa Construction & Tech Co., LLC
$286,580.00
. Sigma Builders' Group
$293,504.40
. Fort Myers Construction Corporation
$375,880.00; and
WHEREAS, the bids were evaluated by the Director of the Department of Capital Projects
Management and the Chief Purchasing Officer in accordance with the Town's purchasing policy;
and
WHEREAS, W.G. Harrison, Inc. was determined to be the lowest responsIve and
responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, this is a unit price contract and the final contract amount will be arrived at by
multiplying the bid unit prices by the actual approved quantities in place; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funding is available to award this contract; and

CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Director of Capital Projects Management recommends approval of an
award of the contract to W. G. Harrison, Inc. in the amount of $236,019.40 for the construction of
the Ida Lee Trail Phase II project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, with
W.G. Harrison, Inc., in the amount of $236,019.40 for the construction of the Ida Lee Trail Phase
II project.
