A RESOLUTION:
AunIORIZING A STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM FOR FY2007
WHEREAS, the FY2007 budget appropriated $700,500 for street: milling, resurfacing, concrete
repairs, handicapped ramp installation, and brick sidewalks installation; and
WHEREAS, in a memorandum dated June 28, 2006, the Director of Engineering and Public
Works has recommended the following streets be included in the FY2007 Street Resurfacing Program:
Name of Street and Limits
1. South King Street (Clubhouse Drive to Catoctin Circle)
2. North King Street (Bridgette Place to Battlefield Parkway)
3. Lee Avenue (Dry Mill Road to Davis Avenue)
4. Davis Avenue (South King Street to Lee Avenue)
5. Governors Drive (South King Street to Country Club Drive)
6. Dry Mill Road (Lee Avenue to West Corporate Limits)
7. East Market Street (Rt. 15 Bypass to Plaza Street)
8. North Street (North King Street to Harrison Street)
9. Liberty Street (West Market Street to Old Waterford Road)
10. Ayrlee Avenue (Ayr Street to Old Waterford Road)
11. Belmont Drive (Catoctin Circle to Valley View Avenue)
12. Valley View Avenue (Dry Mill Road to Prospect Drive)
WHEREAS, if funding is available the following streets shall also be included in the FY2007
Street Resurfacing Program:
Name of Street and Limits
1. Catoctin Circle (Foxtail Circle to Cul-de-sac)
2. Hawling Place (Town Corporate Limits to Cul-de-sac)
3. Sycolin Road (Hope Parkway to Lawson Road )
4. Sycolin Road (Tolbert Lane to Tavistock Drive)
5. Wirt Street (Market Street to North Street)
6. Plaza Street (Rust Drive to Battlefield Parkway)
7. Battlefield Parkway (Catoctin Circle to North King Street)
8. Catoctin Circle (Foxtail Circle To Battlefield Parkway)
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The FY2007 Street Resurfacing Program outlined in a memorandum to the Town Council dated
June 28, 2006, in the priority listed, is approved.
