A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO INTIATE THE PROCESS
OF SALE OF PUBLIC PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE
ADVERTISEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARINGS
REGARDING THE SALE OF CEDAR WALK S.l PCL.B 879-947,
.10 ACRES OF VACANT LAND IN LEESBURG, KNOWN AS
PIN 188-18-4063-000
WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Leesburg (the Council) has received a request to
purchase Town property; and
WHEREAS, the Council authorizes the Town Manager and Town Attorney to explore this
request and proceed with the sale of real property; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg is empowered by Virginia Code Sections 15.2-1800 and
15.2-2100 to sell such property following appropriate public notice and public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Lees burg in Virginia (the Town) desires to advertise a public; and
WHEREAS, the individual property identification number is listed below:

NOW, THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION 1. That the Town Manager and Town Attorney are authorized and directed to
advertise public notice of the availability of the above identified property in local newspapers, as
well as a public hearing on the sale of the above property.

SECTION II. The Town Manager and Town Attorney are authorized to negotiate with and
execute on behalf of the Town a contract to sell the real property as above identified at a price
reasonably related in their judgment to the fair market value of the said real property as determined
by an independent certified real estate appraiser, and on such terms and conditions as they deem
advantageous to the Town, in a form approvable by the Town Attorney.
