A RESOLUTION: REQUESTING THE LOUDOUN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
TO RESTORE CROSSTRAIL BOULEVARD BETWEEN ROUTE 15
AND ROUTE 621 TO THE LOUDOUN COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
PLAN
WHEREAS, Crosstrail Boulevard from Evergreen Mills Road (Route 621) to Route 15
was deleted in the current Countywide Transportation Plan (CTP) which directly impacts the
Town of Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, this link of Crosstrail Blvd. is shown as an arterial road on the Roadway
Network Policy Map of the 2005 Leesburg Town Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes the Crosstrail Boulevard from Evergreen Mill
Road to Route 15 be restored to the CTP; and
WHEREAS, residential subdivisions have been approved and constructed along the
previous alignment of Crosstrail Boulevard between Route 15 and Route 621; and
WHEREAS, there are different alignments which will connect Route 15 to Route 621
around the residential lots.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED. the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
transmits to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors its comments regarding the Countywide
Transportation Plan as follows:
SECTION I. The current Countywide Transportation Plan (CTP) does not include the
section of Crosstrail Boulevard between Route 621 and Route 15 south. The Town considers
Crosstrail Boulevard to be of utmost importance to the future development of the Urban Growth
Area (UGA) and to maintaining adequate levels of service to the Town's transportation system.

SECTION II. The Town requests the link of Crosstrail Boulevard from Route 621 to
Route 15 be restored to the Loudoun County Transportation Plan.
