A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR LEESBURG
STANDING RESIDENTIAL TRAFFIC COMMITTEE PROJECTS AND FOR
LEGAL EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIRGINIA POWER LEGAL
PROCEEDINGS
WHEREAS, traffic calming projects improve the traffic flow of Leesburg streets; and
WHEREAS, $80,000 from unencumbered funds from FY 2006 needs to be reappropriated in FY
2007 for projects proposed by the Standing Residential Traffic Committee; and
WHEREAS, legal expenses have been incurred for outside legal counsel for the Virginia Power
Line proceedings; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed for expenses associated with this issue.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2007 General Fund Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made
in the amount of$145,000 for the fiscal year beginning July 1,2006 and ending June 30, 2007.
SECTION II. The Town Manager's budget is amended in the amount of$65,000 and the Public
Works budget is amended in the amount of $80,000.
