HomeMy Public PortalAbout061-1978 - Appropriation - Motor Vehicle Highway Fund - 1979 BudgetPrescribed by State Board of Accounts City Budget Form No. 4 ORDINANCE NO. 61-1978 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS ($536,290.) FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSE OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND OF SAID CITY FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1979 BUDGETING THE SAME, LIMITING THE USE THEREOF AND FIXING THE TIME WHEN SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT. SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that hereby and there is hereby appropriated the sume of $536,290. to the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund of said City, and that the same shall be set apart and budgeted for the various items and expenditures as follows: MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND BUDGET FOR 1979 1. Total 536,290. SECTION 2. That all said expenditures as provided for in Section 1, shall be made and performed between January 1, 1979 and December 31, 1979, inclusive. SECTION 3. That said monies as appropriated and budgeted are restricted solely to and for the use of construction, reconstruction and maintenance of the streets and alleys of the City of Richmond, Indiana, pursuant to Chapter 278 Acts of 1959 passed by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, the signature of the President affixed and the approval of the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana. Municipal Building of said City August 28, 1978 , at the hour of 7:00 p.m. , Councilman Austerman presided with the following members present: :Messrs. Ahaus Carter Elstro , Merchanthouse , Mills Paust Welch , Williams Absent: None The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSLNESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the Cityy of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of August loth and August 17th Said notices stated that a public hearing would be held on the ME day of August, 1978 , by the Common Council to consider additional appropria- tions as provided for in Ordinance No. 61-1978 within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Mills moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received and ordered filed, seconded by Councilman Ahaus _ and on voice vote the motion was carried.
