THE BREWSTER BOARD OF HEALTH WORK MEETING
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2008
TOWN HALL, ROOM A
Present: Dan Brightman, Chairman, James Reynolds, Keith Johnson, Sherrie McCullough, Assistant Health Director
and Tammi Mason, Administrative Clerk
J.C. Ellis-variance request for 259 Seaway Road
Mr. Ellis asked for the following variances to be approved:
1. 4' from proposed septic tank to foundation
2. 4' from proposed sas to lot line (pcl. 25)
3. 4' from proposed sas to lot line (pcl. 20)
4. 13' from proposed sas to foundation
5. 3' from proposed pump chamber to foundation
6. 3' from proposed sas to existing sas (pcl. 25)
7. No reserve area provided
Mr. Ellis stated that Conservation Commission will be deciding on this at their meeting next Tuesday.
Motion: JR-grant variances. KJ seconded. 3 yes.
Brewster Cemetery Commission
Joan Carstanjen, Chairman of Cemetery Commission was present to ask the Board for the approval to have Green
burials in the Brewster Memorial Cemetery. Only a part of the cemetery will be used. This would consist of just
having a wooden casket and no embalming fluid. The body would have to be in the ground within 72 hours of death.
JR asked about the water table in that area, JC stated that they hadn't looked into it yet but would.
The Board agreed that it would be ok with them. The Cemetery Commission will let the Board know when they do the
land test for water table.
Discuss fees
There was discussion but no changes made.
4. Discuss Planning Board application for 1273 Millstone Road
Noted.

2. Section 15.301 #5-inspections
3. Annual report for Brewster Manor
Add on's
Planning Board application for subdivision on A.P. Newcomb Road. The Board suggested~,ti~~ 'n~Cluster system.
