A RESOLUTION: AWARDING THE LOWENBACH TRAFFIC CIRCLES
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Resolution 2002-111 included traffic circles as part of the Lowenbach Street
Improvements project; and
WHEREAS, the Lowenbach Traffic Circles are funded as part of the Lowenbach Street
Improvements capital project in the FY 2007-2011 CIP; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for the construction bids of the Lowenbach
Traffic Circles project, the Town received bids on September 26,2006 from the following firms:
. Cube Construction
$164,798.00
. Sigma Builders Group
$177,952.64
. Gull Corporation
$180,838.80
. Omni Excavators, Inc.
$187,154.84
· Tessa Construction & Tech Company, LLC
$204,552.00; and
WHEREAS, the bids were evaluated by the Director of the Department of Capital Projects
Management and the Chief Purchasing Officer in accordance with the Town's Purchasing Policy;
and
WHEREAS, Cube Construction was determined to be the lowest responsive and
responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, this is a unit price contract and the estimated quantities multiplied by the unit
price have established the not to exceed contract price; and
WHEREAS, there is sufficient funding to award this contract.

A RESOLUTION: AWARDING THE LOWENBACH TRAFFIC CIRCLES
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council ofthe Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, with
Cube Construction, in the amount of $164,798 for the construction .of this project.
