A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ADVERTISE A NOTICE
OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A PROPOSED BOND FINANCING BY
THE TOWN OF LEESBURG
WHEREAS, there may be an opportunity to refund up to $13,000,000 in outstanding
general obligation bonds of the Town at a substantial savings of at least $500,000 net of issuance
costs; and
WHEREAS, the Town may have a need for as much as $11,000,000 in additional bond
money to fund certain capital improvements;
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
the Town Manager is authorized in accordance with ~15.2-2606 of the Code of Virginia to
publish or cause to be published a notice of a public hearing on the issuance of said bonds to be
held on at 7:30 o'clock p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard on Novemberl4,
2006 before the Town Council in the Council Chambers, Town Hall, 25 West Market Street,
Leesburg, V A.
