THE BREWSTER BOARD OF HEALTH WORK MEETING
TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 2008 AT 7:OOPM

Present: Joanne Hughes, Chairman, Dan Brightman, Vice Chairman, Keith Johnson,
Andrew Petty, Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Administrative Clerk
1. Minutes from 5/27/08
Motion: DB-approve minutes. AP seconded. 4 yes.
2. Minutes from 6/3/08
Motion: DB-approve minutes. KJ seconded. 3 yes.
3. Sue Rask, Barnstable County- I/A update
SR gave a presentation to the Board about the different types of I/A systems and how they
are working in Brewster.
4. Jason Ellis-variance request for 100 Lee Way
JE stated that he was requesting a variance to be only 158' from the pond. The Board
asked if this was the furthest away is could get. JE stated that there is a steep hill on the
property and this was the best place for the system. Conservation Commission has already
approved this.
Motion: DB-grant variance as request with Environmentally Sensitive Area
restrictions applying. AP seconded. 4 yes.
5. Discuss VNA contract for FY09 and sign contract
JH asked NI to find out if the Young at Heart program is still supporting itself.
Motion: DB-approve and sign contract. AP seconded. 4 yes.
6. Discuss revisions to bedroom definition made by Town Counsel

The Board did not like some of the changes made and asked that Town Counsel come in to
a meeting and go over the changes with them.
