A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR A DONATION OF $500 AND A
VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF A VIA TION GRANT TO THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE
AIRPORT FOR PRODUCTION OF AN AIRPORT BROCHURE
WHEREAS, The Leesburg Executive Airport has applied for and been awarded a Promotional 50/50
Matching Grant by the Virginia Department of Aviation in the amount of up to $7,500 for marketing of the airport;
and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Executive Airport has engaged the Economic Development Department
in the production of a brochure to help market the airport under the awarded grant; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of design and production of 10,000 copies of the airport brochure is $8,000;
and
WHEREAS, Landmark Aviation, a fixed based operator and a tenant ofthe Leesburg Executive
Airport has donated the sum of$500 dollars to the production costs of the brochure; and
WHEREAS, $4,000 will funded by the grant and the required $4,000 match will come from the existing FY
2007 Economic Development Department and Airport budgets and the $500 donation from Landmark Aviation; and
WHEREAS, the $4,000 grant money and the $500 donation from Landmark Aviation are unanticipated
revenue for this year's Airport budget.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2006 Airport Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the amount of
$4,500 for the fiscal year beginning July 1,2006 and ending June 30, 2007.
