APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 82-1978
AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more
money than was appropriated in the annual budget;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following
additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of
the several appropriations, herein named and for the purposes herein specified,
subject to the laws governing the same:

SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now
have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which
appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations
be reduced in the following amounts.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of
Indiana governing emergency appropriations.

Dear Council Member,
The Richmond Fire Department is requesting a transfer of
funds within our budget in the amount of $3,500. This
will be from M-6, Electric Current, to M-30, Other Equipment.
We have two (2) openings available on the department, so
additional monies are needed to purchase equipment for
two (2) new men.
Secondly, we have to purchase new inch -and -a -half fire
hose. We have hose which is over thirty (30) years old
and has started to leak and deteriorate and must be re-
placed. Also, some inch -and -a -half hose was lost in the
Natco Warehouse fire which occurred on February 12, 1977.

'We would also like to transfer $100.00 from M-4, Traveling
Expense, to M-12, Other Administrative Expensek" This is
to cover the repair of broken glasses, as per the union
contract.
We want to transfer $70.00 from M-8, Instructions, to M-28,
Furniture and Fixtures.- -This is for the purchase of a
new range, which is to replace the one at the Number 1
Station.
