Dear Mr. Austerman,
The transfer request by the Department of Transportation to travel
fund is to allow for planned trips. Indiana Association of Cities and
Towns 78th annual convention, 1978 Indiana Public Transportation Con-
ference, October 11 - 13 and a second transportation conference in
November, the annual Street Commissioner Convention in November.
The expenditure to date from the travel account is for the North
American Snow Conference at Cincinnati. This was attended by my -self
and two members of the department. The snow conference was not planned
in budgeting for 1978 due to it's location not being announced until
the first of 1978. In light of the last two winters we attended gaining
new information and in -sight to the snow removal problems.
Thank -You,
Jerry R. Ha es
Director of Transportation
