THE BREWSTER BOARD OF HEALTH WORK MEETING
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2008 AT 7:OOPM

Present: Joanne Hughes, Chairman, Dan Brightman, Vice Chairman, James Reynolds, Keith Johnson,
Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Administrative Clerk
1. Minutes from 8/ 19/08
Motion: JR-approve minutes. DB seconded. 4 yes.
2. Minutes from 9/9/08
Motion: JR-approve minutes. DB seconded. 4 yes.
3. Discuss letter from DEP re: Cape Sand 8s Recycling, LLC
There was discussion on this item. The Board asked NI to contact DEP and ask if Jay Merchant is
actively seeking out and excavating C & D. The Board also asked that she voice their concerns with the
well water samples.
4. Discuss draft deed restriction for Zone II areas
The Board went over this proposed draft and made a few modifications. The Board agreed to the changes
and asked that a public hearing be scheduled.
5. Discuss Planning Board application for 36 Southern Eagle Cartway
Noted.

Add On's
NI spoke with Jon Whitten today and he will have a template for the proposed Shared Systems
Regulation that the Board is trying to adopt for the next meeting.
NI explained the situation with the November meeting dates. The Board agreed to have just one meeting
on November 25, 2008.
DB asked that at the next meeting, as an agenda item, put discussion of a possible regulation to ban new
mining in Town.
