AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING ORDINANCE NO.
2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF A CERTAIN PART
OF SPRINGWOOD PARK FROM 0-1 GREENBELT DISTRICT TO M-2 GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 designates and
describes as 0-1 Greenbelt District, the following described property
located in the Springwood Park in the City of Richmond, Indiana, more
particularly described as follows:
Part of the northwest quarter of section 29, township 14 north,
range 1 west of the first principle meridian in Wayne township,
Wayne County, Indiana more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northeastern right of way
line of the Cheaspeake & Ohio railroad with the north line of
said quarter section north 88 degrees, 58 minutes, 27 seconds
east (assumed bearing) 512.80 ft. from the northwest corner of
said quarter section (which corner is marked by a 3/4" iron rod
found). Thence north 88 degrees, 58 minutes, 27 seconds east
along said northern line 1287.20 ft. Thence south 01 degrees,
O1 minutes, 33 seconds east 350.00 ft. Thence south 88 degrees,
58 minutes, 27 seconds west parallel with the north line of said
quarter section 885.65 ft. to said northeastern right of way line
of the Cheaspeake & Ohio railroad. Thence north 49 degrees, 26 minutes
34 seconds west along said right of way line 355.60 ft. Thence along
said right of way line northwesterly 177.14 ft. along an arc to the
left having a radius of 3329.17 ft. and being subtended by a long
cord having a bearing of north 50 degrees, 58 minutes, 01 seconds
west and a link of 177.12 ft. to the point of beginning, containing
8.707 acres, more or less.
WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classification
on the above described area from 0-1 Greenbelt District to M-2 General
Industrial District; and,
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan Commission
the --4 Cl� day of I r..:Co- 6---- , 1978, at which time remonstrances
were heard from all parties interested in or affected by this Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was "' to L' in
favor of/in opposition to recommending the passage of Ordinance No.
105-1978.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION 1. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above
described property be, and the same is hereby changed to M-2 General
Industrial District, and that said property be regulated in accordance
with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all
amendments thereto.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval as by law required.
