A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF $4,051 RESULTING
FROM DONATIONS TO THE THOMAS BALCH LIBRARY IN MEMORY OF
MR. WARREN PERSHING WEITMAN
WHEREAS, Mr. Warren Pershing Weitman, a dedicated Thomas Balch Library volunteer, passed away
on October 19,2006, and in his memory, to date, the Town has received donations to purchase books totaling
$4,051 from the following individuals and organizations: Mrs. Grace Weitman; Nancy W. Smith Green;
William J. Green; Fred Weitman; Edythe Seligman; Leonora Scharf; Mr.& Mrs. Peter Walton Love; W.
Sherman Edwards & Melinda C. Salzman; Rena Pine; Mr. & Mrs. Mark Fleischer; Mr. & Mrs. Irving H.
Kamsler; Marion Pine; Marc & Linda Goldstein; Bonnie S. Taffer; Jody L. Ginsberg and Vince Gennese; the
Staff of Thomas Balch Library; Westat, Inc. (Michael K. Legarde, Assoc. Dir.); the Professional Autograph
Dealers Association, Inc.; and the American Express Gift Matching Program;
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION 1 The FY2007 Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the amount of
$4,051 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007.
SECTION II. The Thomas Balch Library budget is amended and increased in the amount of $4,051.
