A RESOLUTION:
APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF $10,000 FOR THE
VERIZON FRANCHISE AGREEMENT PEG ACCESS GRANT
WHEREAS, the Town has granted Verizon Communication a cable franchise for the provision of
cable service in the Town; and
WHEREAS, Section 6.2.2. of the Leesburg-Verizon cable franchise provides for an initial
$10,000 PEG programming grant; and
WHEREAS, Town Staffwill seek to use these funds to facilitate the interconnection ofVerizon
equipment at the Town Hall location and to secure the existing broadcast equipment in the second floor
conference room; and
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2006 Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the
amount of $10,000 for the fiscal year beginning July I, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007.
SECTION II. The Leesburg Cable Advisory Commission's budget is amended in the amount of
$10,000.
