Home My Public Portal About2007_01_23_r014 The Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED January 23. 2007 RESOLUTION NO. 2006-14 ADOPTED January 23. 2007 A RESOLUTION: APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE FY 2007 GENERAL FUND BUDGET, AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR $6,030 A WARDED THROUGH A SERIES OF DONATIONS RECEIVED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, the Target Corporation has awarded a grant to the Leesburg Police Department in the amount of $2,000 for the purchase of night vision equipment; and WHEREAS, the Loudoun Crime Commission has awarded a grant to the Leesburg Police Department in the amount of $1 ,030 for the purchase of a crisis communication system; and WHEREAS, Corey Smith has paid the Leesburg Police Department $2,500 for canine replacement in return for ownership of canine BRONCO who was no longer a serviceable police canine; and WHEREAS, the Reston Bicycle Club has donated $500 to the Leesburg Police Department for the support of community relations and crime prevention activities. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. The FY 2007 General Fund Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the amount of $ 6,030 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007, as follows to include the adjusted totals to the categories and accounts ofthe funds listed below: a.
