A RESOLUTION:
APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF $23,223 FOR THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) AWARD
WHEREAS, community development and recreation are important elements of Leesburg's Town
Plan and Town Council vision; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department currently coordinates a
variety of summer camps and other recreational programs for children living in Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has been awarded a Community
Development Block Grant to fund the Camp Scholarship Project for low to moderate income families to
enroll their children in Leesburg based summer camps; and
WHEREAS, the CDBG program has a cost-reimbursement method of payment that requires the
Town to expend funds which are then reimbursed by the Loudoun County CDBG program.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Lees burg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2007 Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the
amount of $23,223 for the fiscal year beginning July 1,2006 and ending June 30, 2007.
SECTION II. The Leesburg Department of Parks and Recreation Budget is amended in the
amount of $23,223
