RESOLUTION NO. 2007-29
A RESOLUTION:
AWARDING THE DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
BATTLEFIELD PARKWAY FROM EVERGREEN MILL ROAD (ROUTE 621) TO
SOUTH KING STREET (ROUTE 15) TO RINKER DESIGN ASSOCIATES, P.C.
WHEREAS, Battlefield Parkway from Evergreen Mill Road (Route 621) to South King Street (Route 15)
is a funded capital project; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation to provide design and engineering services for this section
of Battlefield Parkway, the Town received 11 proposals on December 8, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the received proposals were evaluated by an evaluation committee in accordance with the
Town's purchasing policy; and
WHEREAS, Rinker Design Associates, P.C. was rated first by the evaluation committee to provide the
design and engineering services for this project; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Capital Projects Management and the Chief Purchasing Officer
recommends awarding the engineering contract for this project to Rinker Design Associates, P.C.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, with
Rinker Design Associates, P.C. in the amount not to exceed $455,000, paid on actual hours spent for providing the
design and engineering services for Battlefield Parkway from Evergreen Mill Road (Route 621) to South King
Street (Route 15).
