HomeMy Public PortalAbout2007_04_10_r060 The Town of Leesburg, Virginia RESOLUTION NO. 2007-60 PRESENTED April 10, 2007 ADOPTED April 10, 2007 A RESOLUTION: ADOPTING THE FISCAL YEAR 2008-2012 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $145,175,742 WHEREAS, Section 15.2-2239 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, authorizes the preparation and annual review of a Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the Town Manager submitted a proposed Capital Improvement Program to the Planning Commission on December 7, 2006 and the Town Council on February 27,2007; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed Capital Improvements Program on January 4,2007; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the Capital Improvements Program for compliance with the Town Plan and on January 18, 2007 approved a motion to recommend the CIP for adoption by the Town Council; and WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Program provides a long-term plan for the financing, acquisition, and construction of capital facilities, projects, and equipment in the amount of $145,175,742 over the next five years. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia, that the Capital Improvements Program for fiscal years 2008-2012 totaling $145,175,742 is approved.
