A RESOLUTION:
APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE FY 2007 GENERAL FUND
BUDGET, AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR $1,000 A WARDED
THROUGH A DONATION RECEIVED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
FROM W AL-MART.
WHEREAS, the Wal-Mart Corporation has awarded a donation to the Leesburg Police
Department in the amount of $1 ,000 for the support of community relations and crime prevention
activities.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2007 General Fund Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is
made in the amount of $1 ,000 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007, as
follows to include the adjusted totals to the categories and accounts of the funds listed below:
a. From the Wal-Mart Corporation a $1,000 donation is received and appropriations of
$1,000 is made to the Police Department FY 2007 budget for the purchase of equipment to
improve and enhance the Police Department's effectiveness.
