A RESOLUTION:
APPROVING DOWNTOWN STREETLIGHT TOWNNDOT ADMINISTRATIVE
AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THIS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2005-170 authorized a request for funds from the Virginia
Department of Transportation (VDOT) from the Federal Highway Administration Transportation
Enhancement Program for a project to replace the existing streetlights in portions of the downtown
Historic District with historically appropriate streetlights; and
WHEREAS, on May 17, 2006, the Virginia Commonwealth Transportation Board approved
Transportation Enhancement Grant funding for the project in the amount of $200,000; and
WHEREAS, the Town's minimum matching funding under the Transportation Enhancement
Program is $50,000, or 20% of the $250,000 Total Funded Project Cost; and
WHEREAS, the Town's approved FY 2007 budget includes $100,000 in bonds for this
project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute the attached TownNDOT Administrative Agreement for the
Downtown Streetlight Project under the Transportation Enhancement Program.
