AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER SIGN ANY AND ALL OF THE
DOCUMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF
FORESTRY MASTER TREE PLANTING PLAN PROJECT
ARESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg Urban Forestry Management Plan section 6.4.9
established the goal of increasing Leesburg' s canopy cover; and
WHEREAS, the development ofa Master Tree Planting Plan is a critical part ofworking
towards increasing Leesburg's Tree canopy cover; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Town Council has already approved $5,000 in the FY 2008 budget
for the purpose of developing a Master Tree Planting Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department ofUrban Forestry has provided the Town a grant in the
amount of 4,000 towards a Master Tree Planting Plan; and
WHEREAS, increasing Leesburg's canopy cover is the goal of the Urban Forestry Master
Plan.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Town Manger is hereby authorized to sign any and all of the documents
associated with the Virginia Department of Forest Master Tree Planting Plan project.
