RESOLUTION NO. 2007-109
A RESOLUTION: A WARDING THE DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES
CONTRACT FOR THE LOWER SYCOLIN SEWAGE CONVEYANCE
SYSTEM TO DEWBERRY & DAVIS LLC.
WHEREAS, Lower Sycolin Sewage Conveyance System is a funded capital project; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation to provide design and engineering services
for this project, the Town received six proposals on January 13,2006; and
WHEREAS, the received proposals were evaluated by an evaluation committee in
accordance with the Town's purchasing policy; and
WHEREAS, Dewberry & Davis LLC was rated first by the evaluation committee to
provide the design and engineering services for this project; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Capital Projects Management and the Chief Purchasing
Officer recommends awarding the engineering contract for this project to Dewberry & Davis; and
WHEREAS, a design contract in the estimated amount of $606,178 was negotiated with
the firm.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, with
Dewberry & Davis LLC in the amount not to exceed $606,178, paid on actual hours spent for
providing design and engineering services for Lower Sycolin Sewage Conveyance System.
