A RESOLUTION: A WARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE REVIEW OF ENGINEERING
CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS TO POST, BUCKLEY, SCHUH &
JERNIGAN, INC. OF CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA, STANTEC &
ASSOCIATES OF LEESBURG, VIRGINIA AND KIMLEY-HORN &
ASSOCIATES, HERNDON, VIRGINIA
WHEREAS, in response to a solicitation for Review of Engineering Construction
Drawing Services, 8 proposals were received from the following firms:
· Bowman Consulting
· Stantec & Associates
· Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc.
· Triad Engineering, Inc.
· William H. Gordon & Associates
· Huntley, Nyce & Associates
· Bernard Johnson Corporation
· Post, Buckley, Schuh, Jernigan & Associates, Inc.
WHEREAS, all proposals were evaluated by a selection committee in accordance with
the requirements of the Town's Purchasing Policy and the requirements of the Request for
Proposals; and
WHEREAS, the Town's selection committee selected Post, Buckley, Schuh, Jernigan &
Associates of Chantilly, Stantec & Associates of Leesburg, Virginia and Kimley-Horne &
Associates of Herndon, Virginia as the highest rated firms; and

ASSOCIATES OF LEES BURG, VIRGINIA AND KIMLEY -HORN &
ASSOCIATES, HERNDON, VIRGINIA
WHEREAS, the contracts for Review of Engineering Constructions Drawings will be for
continuing services with an initial period of one (1) year and renewable for up to two (2)
additional consecutive periods of one (1) year; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works and the Chief Purchasing
Office recommend awarding contracts for Review of Engineering Construction Drawing Services
to Post, Buckley, Schuh, Jernigan & Associates, Stantec & Associates and Kimley-Horne &
Associates.
WHEREAS, year one (1) of the contract will be funded out of the Department of
Engineering and Public Works' FY 2008 adopted budget for Architecture and Engineering
Contractual Services ($149,000).
WHEREAS, contract renewals will be extended only if funds are available in future
adopted budgets for FY 2009 and FY 2010.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
The Town Manager is authorized to execute contracts in a form approved by the Town Attorney
for Review of Engineering Construction Drawing Services with Kimley-Horne & Associates,
Stantec & Associates and Post, Buckley, Schuh, Jernigan & Associates
