Donohue, The Committee on Rules and Ordinances met on Tuesday, February 8th Councilor At Large in the Town Council office at 6:10 PM. Present were Committee Susan G. Falkoff, members Councilors John Donohue and Tony Palomba, Council Councilor At Large President Mark Sideris, and Councilor Susan Falkoff. The purpose of Anthony Palomba, the meeting was to review suggested amendments to the current revised Councilor At Large draft of the Town Council's Rules. Angeline B.Kounelis, District A Councilor Below is the list of the amendments discussed and resolved. The Cecilia Lenk, Committee voted to approve all changes noted below by a vote of 2 to 0. District B Councilor Vincent J. Piccirilli,Jr., 1) Rule 8.1 as revised was further amended to group and order District C Councilor communications from the Town Manager and Town Officers. John J.Lawn,Jr., District D Councilor 2) Rule 8.5 was amended to place a deadline of thirty (30) days for committees to meet, review and make a recommendation to the full Council on appointments that require Council approval. 3) Rule 8.8 and Rule 8.11 were deleted as the Committee felt they were unnecessary, duplicative, and/or confusing. 4) Rule 11.1 revised by deleting the words, "Skating Arena and Engineering". 5) Rule 9.3 as amended was further revised by removing the language, "They shall also be signed after each meeting by the sponsoring councilor; or, except for proclamations, by an additional councilor ..." and replacing it with, "Ordinances, orders, and resolutions shall also be signed after each meeting by an additional councilor ..." "For proclamations, the additional councilor may be the sponsoring councilor." 6) Rule 15.2 as amended was further revised and Rule 15.3 was added to clarify what topics can be addressed by the public during the first Public Forum and what topics can be addressed at the second Public Forum. 7) Rule 16.1 was deleted since smoking is prohibited throughout Town Hall. The Committee also agreed that the revised Rules (including the Table of Contents and the Definition section) would be presented to the full Council for its consideration at the February 22 meeting.
