ARESOLUTION:
A W ARDING THE TUSCARORA CREEK STORM DRAINAGE PROJECT
AND TOWN BRANCH AT MOSBY DRIVE DESIGN ENGINEERING
SERVICES CONTRACT TO AMEC EARTH & ENVIRONMENTAL, INe.
WHEREAS, the Tuscarora Creek Storm Drainage Improvements project and the Town
Branch at Mosby Drive Storm Drainage project are ftmded capital projects; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation to provide design engineering services for
the Tuscarora Creek Storm Drainage Improvements project and the Town Branch at Mosby Drive
project, the Town received two proposals on November 17,2006; and
WHEREAS, the received proposals were evaluated by an evaluation committee in
accordance with the Town's purchasing policy; and
WHEREAS, AMEC Earth & Environmental, Ioc. was rated first by the evaluation
committee to provide the design engineering services for these projects; and
WHEREAS, the Director ofCapital Projects Management and the ChiefPurchasing
Officer recommends awarding the engineering contract for these projects to AMEC Earth &
Environmental, Inc.
THEREFORE, RESOL VED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form approved by the Town Attomey,
with AMEC Earth & Environmental, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $179,063.50, paid on
actual hours spent for providing the design engineering services for the Tuscarora Creek Storm
Drainage Improvements project and the Town Branch at Mosby Drive Storm Drainage project.
