ARESOLUTION:
A W ARDING THE SOUTHWEST TRAIL CONNECTOR DESIGN ENGINEERING
SERVICES CONTRACT TO KIMLEY -HORN & ASSOCIATES, INC.
WHEREAS, the Southwest Trail Connector is a funded capital project; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation to provide design engineering services for the
Southwest Trail Connector, the Town received 13 proposals on May 25,2007; and
WHEREAS, the received proposals were evaluated by an evaluation committee in accordance
with the Town's purchasing policy; and
WHEREAS, Kimley-Hom & Associates, mc. was rated first by the evaluation committee to
provide the design engineering services for this project; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Capital Projects Management and the Chief Purchasing Officer
recommends awarding the engineering contract for this project to Kimley-Hom & Associates, Inc.
THEREFORE, RESOL VED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the Town
Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form approved by the Town Attomey, with Kimley-
Hom & Associates, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $456,900, paid on actual hours spent for providing
the design engineering services for the Southwest Trail Connector.
