A RESOLUTION: APPROVING VIRTS CORNER INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
TOWNNDOT ADMINISTRATIVE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING
THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg submitted an application to the Virginia Department of
Transportation (VDOT) for Revenue Sharing Funds for the construction of improvements to the Virts
Comer intersection between South King Street (Route 15), Masons Lane and Gleedsville Road
(VDOT Project No. 0015-253-R04, PElOl, RW201, C501); and
WHEREAS, Loudoun County has approved the use of County gas tax funds for the local
match for the Revenue Sharing Funds; and
WHEREAS, VDOT approved the application and awarded the Town $1 million in Revenue
Sharing Funds for the project; and
WHEREAS, an administrative agreement between VDOT and the Town is required for these
funds.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute the attached Town/VDOT Administrative Agreement for the
Virts Comer Intersection Improvement project in a form acceptable to the Town Attorney.
