Regular Meeting; of the Town Council.

January 2 1940.
Council met in regular session, Mayor Ross presiding and
councuilmen Haack, Luwe; Okones/ Kruse present, absent
G. Lindaman.
Minutes of Dec 13 and 18th were read and on motion by Kruse
second by Okones, approved as read.
It was moved by Okones second by Luwe that Earl Greany Cigarette
permit be cancelled. Motion carried.
It was moved by Okones second by Luwe that a Cigaretter permit be
granted to Ben Kneppe,. motion carried.
It was moved by Luwe second by Haack that Bond of Ben Kneppe for
Cigaretter be approved.

Nays none- absent G Lindaman.
It was moved by Kruse second by Okones that we pay $80.00 per
month for Day Marshall and Water Pumper, and $50.00 per month
for Night man, while the regular Marshall Otta Tjaden is
temporarilly ill, motion carried.
It was moved by Okones second by Kruse that the followings

Section One
Permission rand authority are hereby granted for a period of twenty (20)
years from and after the acceptance of this Ordinance as he,rcin provided, to
Cen .ral_tt@8 Electric Company of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, its successors or as-
signs (hereinafter called the Grantee), to construct, reconstruct, maintain
and operate a plant or plants for the generation of electricity, t.nd to enter
unon the public streets, nlleys, highways, bridges, and public places within
the corporate limits of the_.Tomaof Wellsburg , Iowa, as the same are
now or may hereafter be extended or located; and therein, thereon, thereunder,
and thereover construct, reconstruct, maintain and operate a system for the
transmission, distribution and use of electricity, consisting of poles, wire
conduits and other construction necossc,ry or incident to said system and its
use, including a high potential electric transmission line: to and through the
Town and to sell and furnish electrical energy to the Town and its inhabitants
for all purposes.
Section Two
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the ap-
proval by the legal electors of the. Tcym of Weilsburg7____ , Iowa at a
special election called and held for that purpose, and the acceptance of this
Ordinance by the Grantee in writing filed with the-T-Q=Clerk within thirty
days from and after its aprroval at such election, and its publication as
provided by law.

Ordinance No.�=passed and adopted by the TownCouncil on the,�'acy of
ZSL,�l 1 19,1 '' is hereby repealed, effective as of the date this Ordi-
nande shad_become in full force and effect as herein provided, and only in
the event that it shall become effective.
