The Coordinator presented the following items: vi
o t,
• Responses to the two RFPs out for the CCWPC grants are due Jan 14`x. As of the December 29`~ deadline no
questions had been submitted. Several RFPs were sent out so we are hopeful to get a healthy response.
• The draft letter on the Wequassett Inn ENF was reviewed and discussed. It was voted that Carole is
authorized to send the letter with the following changes inserted, with the understanding that it will be
circulated one more time to TRC members:
o Comments from B. Duncanson;
o References to the following issues would be added: use as satellite facility, mounding of Round
Cove watershed, additional capacity for full utilization of the site and surrounding properties, use
of licensed operators, and re-location of laundry outside of watershed.
• The RMP update has been circulated to Steering and Technical Committee members. Comments on the draft
will be discussed at the January 1 l~' TRC meeting. Carole suggested that the Steering Committee review the
Memorandum of Agreement to see if any changes are warranted. This discussion is planned for the next
meeting. The timeframe planned is to have a public comment draft out by the end of January or beginning of
February, and to hold a public meeting at the beginning of March. Carole presented draft warrant articles,
and it was agreed that she would submit one to Harwich this week, as required. She will work with Jillian
on the article for Brewster, which may be worded slightly differently.
• A response was received from the Cape Cod National Seashore Superintendent George Price indicating that
the CCNS staff would work with the Alliance to develop a sediment habitat map for Pleasant Bay. This will
be a focus of the coastal structures work group.
Chuck shared an article in Cape Cod Life that included underwater photos by Ethan Daniels. The article stressed
the healthy nature of the Bay. Chuck pointed out that we need to have the data from the 2007 to check conditions
following the breach. Carole noted that the hydrodynamic study is in the process of being updated. Model runs
are scheduled to look at pre-1987, current, and single northern inlet conditions.
Chuck also shared a copy of the Martha's Vineyard Blue Pages. Judith and Harry said the Orleans Pond
Coalition is just finishing a version for Orleans.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:35 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for February 12`h at 4:30 pm at Brewster
Town Hall.
