Absent: (Planning Board)(Director of Planning & Bill Wilcoxson ; George Meservey Community Development) . The meeting convened at 10:00 a.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MOTION: Robert RichJudy Scanlon On a motion by , seconded by , the Committee voted to approve the minutes of April 30, 2002. VOTE: 4-0-0 The vote passed unanimously . MOTION: Judy ScanlonRobert Rich On a motion by , seconded by , the Committee voted to approve the minutes of May 2, 2002. VOTE: 4-0-0 The vote passed unanimously . ANNOUNCEMENTS : Introduction of a new member, Carl Hevert from Finance Committee.  Rich spoke to the committee regarding Water Commissioners review of Mike Giggey’s memo.  McKusick had a copy of the Buildout Analysis of Pleasant Bay for review by members.  Scanlon gave a report on the ponds.  : OLD BUSINESS Status of RFP for Wastewater Management – the RFP has been sent out – there is a 30-day  turnaround. Status of volunteer samplers – At this point there are enough volunteers, but we need more for  back-up. Training sessions: Thursday, May 30, 2002 @ 6:30 with Brian Howes.  "Hands on" @ River Rd. on Wed. 6/5/02 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and Monday June 20, 2002 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. NEW BUSINESS : WMSC new committee members 1. Don Tomlin (Conservation Commission) 2. Carl Hevert (Finance Committee) Wastewater Management Steering Committee Minutes – May 16, 2002 Page 1 Q: Should the board be expanded to include a member from the Water Quality Task Force? A: Hinckley stated that when the committee makes a decision on this, they should send a letter to the Board of Selectmen regarding expanding committee and he suggested the idea of expanding by two people (to include a citizen-at-large). Committee Appointments: Robert Rich has been reappointed through 2004  (BOWC) Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC) interviews: 1. Jim Bast – Lonnie’s Pond Area 2. Ken Scott – Little Namskaket Area 3. Bob Wineman – Meetinghouse Pond Area The committee had a discussion with the CAC candidates. McKusick asked members of the Wastewater Committee to recruit more members for the CAC.
