A RESOLUTION:
A WARDING ROUTE 643 PUMPING STATION VARIABLE FREQUENCY
DRIVES REPLACEMENT CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the replacement of the pump variable frequency drives is a funded capital
project; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for construction bids due November 29,
2007, the Town received one bid; and
WHEREAS, the bid was evaluated by the Director of the Department of Capital Projects
Management and the Chief Purchasing Officer in accordance with the Town's Purchasing Policy;
and
WHEREAS, Herring Electric Company, Inc., was determined to be the lowest responsive
and responsible bidder with a bid of$117,000; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available to award this contract.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, with
Herring Electric Company, Inc., in the amount of$ll7,000 for the construction ofthis project.
