A RESOLUTION: MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE TOWN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-6 of the Leesburg Town Charter, vacancies in the
office of Council member for whatever cause shall be filled for the unexpired portion of the term by
majority vote of the remaining members of the Council; and
WHEREAS, C. Kelly Burk was elected to the office of Loudoun County Board of
Supervisors effective January 1, 2008, thereby vacating her seat as a member of Council.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
David B. Schmidt is hereby appointed to the Leesburg Town Council to fill the unexpired
term of C. Kelly Burk which expires June 30, 2008.
PASSED this 3rd day of January 2008.
