ARESOLUTION:
APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE FY 2008 GENERAL FUND
BUDGET, AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR $14,983
A W ARDED THROUGH A DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE 2005
JUSTICE ASSIST ANCE GRANT (JAG).
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Justice under its Fiscal Year 2005 budget has
awarded a grant to the Leesburg Police Department in the amount of$14,983; and
WHEREAS the Leesburg Police Department has identified specific equipment purchases
approved by the Department of Justice to enhance the Police Department's effectiveness by
equipping certain patrol units with video cameras.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town ofLeesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2008 General Fund Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation
is made in the amount of $14,983 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2007 and ending June 30,
2008, as follows to include the adjusted totals to the categories and accounts of the funds listed
below:
a. From the Department of Justice, Justice Assistance Grant $14,983 is received and
appropriations of$14,983 are made to the Police Department FY 2008 budget for the
purchase of equipment to improve and enhance the Police Department's effectiveness.
