ARESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY TO THE
LEESBURG POLICE CITIZENS SUPPORT TEAM
WHEREAS, each year the Town of Leesburg declares surplus equipment and vehicles for
disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Town Manager is authorized to advertise and seIl surplus equipment and
vehicles with the exception of items to be donated to certain volunteer organizations in accordance with
the procedures implemented by the Finance Department; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Police Citizens Support Team, Inc. has requested the donation of
surplus vehicles stock # 216 (2000 Ford Taurus 4 door sedan VIN# IF AFP52Ul YG241S9S) and stock #
241 (2000 Ford Taurus 4 door sedan VIN#IFAFP5227YG227664), which are intended to be declared
surplus property for disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police supports this donation.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as foIlows:
The Town Manager is authorized to donate surplus vehicles stock # 216 (2000 Ford Taurus 4
door sedan VIN# IF AFP52U 1 YG241S9S) and stock # 241 (2000 Ford Taurus 4 door sedan
VIN#IFAFP5227YG227664) to the Leesburg Police Citizens Support Team, Inc. once they have been
declared surplus property for disposal.
