Updated Leesburg Town Plan Now Available
Town Plan can be downloaded free from the Town website. Printed copies will
be available for sale at Town Hall beginning August 30, 2012.
Leesburg, VA (August 20, 2012) – The Leesburg Department of Planning and Zoning announced
today the availability of the 2012 Town Plan. Adopted by Town Council on Tuesday, June 26,
2012, the Town Plan provides long range policy guidance for accommodating growth while
preserving the character of Leesburg. Originally adopted in 2005, the revised version
incorporates the first comprehensive update to the Town Plan since adoption.
Town Council adoption of the updated plan followed an extensive and thorough review by the
Leesburg Planning Commission, with significant input from the Town’s advisory commissions
and the public.
The Town Plan is available for free download on the Town’s website at
www.leesburgva.gov/index.aspx?page=346. Printed copies of the plan are available after
August 30, 2012, for $20 each and may be purchased at the Department of Planning and Zoning
on the second floor of the Leesburg Town Hall (25 West Market Street, Leesburg VA 20176) or
by calling 703-771-2765.
