PRESENT: Mayor Brad Andersen, Council members Steve Elliott, Dennis McArthur,
Clip Holverson, City Clerk Betty McKinlay. Council member Scott Long was excused.
VISITORS: Jay and Jane Shaw, Lynn McKinlay, Jane Holverson, Don and Gloria
Andersen, Sharlee Andersen. TV 3 and 8.
Mayor Andersen called the meeting to order and explained that we did have a tie between
two candidates and a meeting needed to be called within six days at which time the city
clerk shall determine the tie by a toss of a coin. The Mayor then turned the time over to
City Clerk, Betty McKinlay. Betty explained that any candidate desiring a recount of the
ballots cast in any general city election may apply to the attorney general within twenty
days of the canvass of such election by the city council. The tie vote was between
candidates Clip Holverson and Jane Shaw. Jane called the toss as tails. City Clerk Betty
McKinlay tossed the coin and it was tails. Jane Shaw will be the new council member.
The meeting adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
