Home My Public Portal About2008_01_23_R020 - Making an Appointment to the SRTC The Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED January 23. 2008 RESOLUTION NO. 2008-20 ADOPTED January 23. 2008 A RESOLUTION: MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE LEESBURG STANDING RESIDENTIAL TRAFFIC COMMITTEE WHEREAS, participation by public-spirited citizens to Town boards and commissions is vital to the success of town government and the democratic process; and Whereas, boards and commissions serve an indispensable role in providing recommendations concern Town policy and programs, and WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and pleasure on these advisory boards; and WHEREAS, on July 24,2000, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 establishing a procedure concerning appointment of individuals to Town boards and commissions. WHEREAS, a vacancy exists for the northeast quadrant of Leesburg THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council ofthe Town of Leesburg that David C. Miles is appointed to fill the northwest quadrant vacancy which will expire on June 30, 2008. PASSED this 23 rd day of January 2008. . Umstattd, Mayor Town of Leesburg ~.
