A RESOLUTION: MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE CRESCENT DISTRICT FORM
BASED CODE STEERING COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, participation by citizens and Town boards, commissions and committees
are vital to the success of town government and the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, boards, commissions, and committees serve an indispensable role in
providing recommendations concerning Town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg has pursued and acquired the appropriate enabling
authority through a charter amendment to specify architectural control districts and implement a
form-based code; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to guide the process of implementing Town policy by
appointing steering committee members that represent applicable and varied expertise required to
effectively complete the Crescent District Form-based Code; and
WHEREAS, on July 25,2000, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 establishing a
procedure concerning the appointment of individuals to Town boards and commissions; and
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
hereby appoints a steering committee to guide development of the Crescent District Form-based
Code composed of the following individuals:
1. Town Council member - Kevin Wright
2. Planning Commissioner- Ted Kalriess
3. Board of Architectural Review member - Dieter Meyer
4. Economic Development Commissioner - Ara Bagdasarian
5. Developer - Chris Weber, Federal Realty
6. Local Planning / Design Professional - Milton Herd, Herd Planning & Design
