PRIORITY BUSINESS
Administrators' Reports
Denise Fronius reported that parent conferences are going well and educational
assistants are available to take care of the children while parents are meeting with the
teachers; the Kids Fitness Challenge has students doing various activities; her future
principal's report will feature a teacher and one of the specialists; community reading
day was very successful.
Ann Caretti reported that a student who has been in an out-of-district program will be
returning to Stony Brook and this is a good thing. The child has made great strides. Mr.
Gradone credited Ann with keeping a good relationship going with the parents. Dr.
Caretti said the preschool staff have been really wonderful working with this student on
the days that the child was at the school.
Revised Accounting/Budget Format
Mr. Baumhauer proposed that the budget format change for the next budget year
eliminating the Brewster Only section. Mr. Gradone said that now with the two schools
no longer being K-5, the need to have the two schools' budgets similar is no longer
needed. Charlie Sumner and Lisa Souve will be consulted to see if there is a need to
keep some accounting under Brewster Only.
- Approve Capital Plan
Mr. Baumhauer reviewed the revised Capital Plan. He also noted that the Town does an
amazing job of keeping the buildings in good repair. Following discussion, it was moved
by Marie Enochty and seconded by Jennifer Rabold to approve the Capital Plan. Voted
unanimously.
