A RESOLUTION: BA ITLEFIELD P ARKW A Y TRAIL BETWEEN SYCOLIN ROAD AND
BEAUREGARD DRIVE
RESOLUTION NO. 2008- 67
WHEREAS, a missing link asphalt trail exists on the north side of Battlefield Parkway
between Sycolin Road and Beauregard Drive, and
WHEREAS, residents of Beauregard subdivision have requested completing this missing
link; and
WHEREAS, three trail easements would be required to construct the link and all three
respective property owners have offered the needed easements to the Town at no cost; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of this trail is approximately $25,000; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds in the Sycolin Road Widening Phase I-A project are available
to design and construct this trail.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
missing link of asphalt trail is hereby added to the Sycolin Road Widening Phase I-A project
contingent on securing the necessary easements at no cost to the Town.
