A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF $98,000.00 TO
THE PARKS DEPARTMENT FISCAL YEAR 2008 BUDGET TO BE USED
FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO BRANDON PARK RESULTING FROM A
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT A WARDED TO THE
TOWN
WHEREAS, the Town Council approved the Master Plan for Brandon Park in February of
1999; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has been awarded a Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) to cover the cost of a playground and road and parking
improvements at Brandon Park; and
WHEREAS, the CDBG program has a cost-reimbursement method of payment that requires
the Town to expend funds which are then reimbursed by the Loudoun County CDBG program; and
WHEREAS, the funds awarded to the project are in the amount of $98,000.00.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2008 Budget is hereby amended, and an appropriation is made in the
amount of $98,000.00 for the fiscal year beginning July 1,2007 and ending June 30, 2008.
SECTION II. The Leesburg Department of Parks and Recreation Budget is amended in the
amount of $98,000.00.
