A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE APPLICATIONS
FOR FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION AND VIRGINIA
DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION GRANTS FOR LAND ACQUISITION
CONSULTING SERVICES REQUIRED IN CONNECTION WITH
ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY WITHIN THE NORTH RUNWAY
PROTECTION ZONE OF THE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the Airport Land Acquisition - North Runway Protection Zone project is an
identified capital project in the Town's FY 2009-2013 Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the Town is eligible for both a Federal Aviation Administration grant and a
Virginia Department of Aviation grant for land acquisition consulting services.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Town Council requests the Federal Aviation Administration and the
Virginia Department of Aviation to provide funding for required land acquisition consulting services.
SECTION II. The Town Manager is authorized to execute any and all documents associated
with the grant applications.
